What is Manual Scheduling
Manual Scheduling is an emergency override for scenarios where reactive or auto scheduling can't be flexible enough to use.
When should we use Manual Scheduling
Manual scheduling should be used for visits that require immediate attention, for example a tenant has a water leak and needs a plumber to attend immediately and there is none available because they are on an existing visit.
How does Manual Scheduling effect Reactive or Auto Scheduled Visits
Manual scheduling visits are a forced override, this means they will take priority over auto or reactive visits.
However the scheduled visits are normally locked in the day before to stop them being adjusted on the same day to avoid confusion with the engineers.
In this case the engineer will be doubled booked.
If the days jobs have not been locked in then the auto scheduled visits will move around as normal, and reactive visits will try and switch engineers. If there are no engineers the reactive visit will fail for more information see the failed scheduled report [[link]]
