In the latest release of Android (6th March 2025) we have the first iteration of Propeller's "Multi-Day Electrical" functionality.
iOS Note: iOS will have this same functionality in the coming months - we will also have some exciting news to share on the future of this platform soon.
Prior to this, EIC and EICRs were previously limited to a single "Visit" - a visit in Propeller being the Job allocation for an engineer for a single day - which limited the electrical functionality to the same.
In this first iteration - it is now possible for an engineer (one device) to undertake an EIC or EICR across multiple visits - whether this be 2, 5 or more.
Usage Overview
Once updated, usage is extremely straightforward. Users will start the EICR or EIC as normal - fill in as much as they require on the given day - once the day is over (and the EICR / EIC is not yet complete) - a new "Save Draft" button is available. This will save the in-progress EICR and send the visit back as "Further Works" ready for the follow-on visits and remainder of the EICR/EIC.
Important Note: A "Visit" is only designed to be for a single day - as such, a multi-day EICR or EIC would take place over multiple visits - a visit for each day, all contained within a single Job.
Once the draft is saved and sent back as a "Further Works" required visit - once an additional visit is allocated to the same operative (device) & property - upon opening the EIC or EICR, the user will be prompted if they wish to use the saved draft and continue where they left off - or to start again. Note - Starting again will remove any saved data.
