Propeller Software Update –
Assets, Tagging and Electrical Improvements
Last year, Propeller introduced General Appliances to the system – allowing users to add custom appliance types to the system.
With this release this area has been greatly expanded, with ‘Appliances’ renamed to ‘Assets’.
This release also includes Electrical QS improvements following feedback from our users which improves the ability to add and modify circuit data.
Asset Tagging
Asset Tagging is now available for all service types.
This new module allows organisations to ‘tag’ assets with unique QR/Barcodes which are scanned by the engineer to confirm they are working on the correct asset.
A further Asset Tagging update is to follow which will allow the client to scan the tag and be able to view the assets information and history.
A full Asset Tagging manual is available for Propeller subscribers.
Location Notes
All assets (appliances) can now have ‘Location Notes’ attached to them – both by mobile app users, and administrators.
This is in addition to the standard locations and allows users to input additional information or input custom locations.
Appliances are now Assets
We are renaming ‘Appliances’ and ‘General Appliances’ to ‘Assets’ throughout the Propeller system and mobile applications.
This has no impact on appliance functionality.
Custom Asset Creation by Engineer
General Appliances (Assets) previously could only be setup and amended by Administrators.
With this release Engineers can now add and amend assets for all types available to that organisation.
‘Asset Types’ however must be created by an Administrator.

Electrical QS Improvements
The Schedule of Circuit Details and Test Results for Electrical QS users has been re-designed to allow QS users to add, remove and edit test results using an ‘excel style’ table format.
Observations have also received a similar re-design to allow easier modification.
