Propeller Software Update – Task Management & Electrical QS Improvements

The Propeller team have been working hard on overhauling the task management module.

Taking feedback from our clients, this has been substantially reworked with new features and customizations.

This has been enabled for all Propeller users.

This release also includes Electrical QS improvements following feedback from our users which improves the ability to add and modify circuit data.

Task Management

Improved Interface

The task management interface has been reworked to enable additional features, filters, bulk tools and easier navigation.

Tasks now can be assigned:

  • Priorities
  • Due Dates
  • Statuses
  • Against Propeller entities
  • To users, or user groups

The new filtering options allow you to view overdue tasks with a single click, with the advanced filters giving greater granularity.

Users assigned tasks are notified by the dashboard widget, or via the Task Manager menu icon which will display the number of tasks the user has outstanding.

Customization

Task management elements can now be customized to suit your organisations requirements.

Priorities can have customized deadlines and naming schemes, along with an assignable ‘traffic light’ colour scheme.

Subjects can be pre-populated for users to select from dependant on the Property or Visit type, as well as being free-type.

Priority created for the Landlord ‘Propeller Homes’ for use with Visits and the Annual Air Source check

The ‘traffic light’ system can also be customized to show tasks becoming due, or overdue, to your organisations preferred timescales.

Entity relationships

Tasks can now be assigned to Propeller entities.

These are:

  • Properties
  • Jobs
  • Visits
  • Property Checks

Users can create tasks through the task manager, or on the relevant Property, Visit or Job page via a new ‘Add Task’ button.

Any outstanding tasks against that Property are shown as outstanding tasks and viewable on that page.

Auditable

Events in the task manager are now tracked in an audit trial.

When users make any change to a task – such as adding a note, changing the status or completing – this is shown in the audit log.

A full manual for this feature is available to Propeller subscribers.

Electrical QS Improvements

The Schedule of Circuit Details and Test Results for Electrical QS users has been re-designed to allow QS users to add, remove and edit test results using an ‘excel style’ table format.
