Major Propeller Release – Electrical Amendment 2 – September 2022

The switchover to BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 is here, and with the updated regulatory changes we have dug into the feature-set and improved everything from the user experience to additional Quality of Life features.

In addition, we have updated our Electrical offering to include Commercial forms along with the updated domestic offerings.

We have kept current users in mind as to avoid the need for re-training or refresher sessions while still improving the functionality and usability of the application. 

Commercial & Domestic

As part of the Amendment 2 updates, we have updated our offering to cover Commercial use as well as Domestic. 

We have re-designed everything with the operative in mind, the forms are combined into one, users need only select whether the form is for a Residential, Commercial, Industrial or Other premises. 

Consumer Units & Circuits

We have made improvements to how users add, select, and modify Consumer Units and Circuits.

This introduces a new User Interface to manage Consumer Units in two panels – This allows quick and easy switching between Consumer units to view and manage the associated circuits with one press. 

Circuits Improvements

Circuits are fully editable from the main screen in a tabular format, with easy switching between all added consumer units. 

All logic, drop-down fields, and logic available in the man ‘Add Circuits’ screen is also available in this tabular view for quick and easy changes & additions. 

Ease of Use Improvements

Additional Drop-down fields, Logic, and Validation

Prior to Amendment 2, we had begun rolling out updates requested by clients to aide Operatives in the field and reduce data entry time, such as additional validation, drop-down values, and logic. 

We have now expanded this across all Electrical certification and applicable fields, such as OCPD, RCD, Supply Protective Devices, Rated Current and others. 

All functionality is now also available to Electrical QS users on the administrative portal, where such features were previously only available to operatives. 

Speed and Flow Improvements

Many ‘under the hood’ changes have been made to the mobile app’s flow and responsiveness. 

Operatives should notice improved responsiveness and changes to the work-flow which will increase efficiency of data entry.
