Propeller Software Updates – May 2021

With our May release we are focused mostly on improving the electrical user experience with new additions and expansion on existing features including greater flexibility around circuit numbering.

Release Highlights:

  • Schedule changes for EICRs which include additions for commercial testing greater expanding the capability of the electrical testing in Propeller for commercial users, new additions include schedules for Isolation and switching and permanently connected current-using equipment.

  • The new additions offer full backwards compatibility for older app versions which do not have these changes, the system will identify the version number on the app and use the old template.

  • We have also added further functionality app side for circuit numbering, allowing for much greater flexibility in the numbering options that are available to the user. The new additions include:
    1. Ability to Insert L1, L2, and L3
    2. Phase 1 and Phase 2 - e.g.
      • 1 L1, 1 L2, 1 L3
      • 2 L1, 2 L2, 2 L3
    3. Ability to have N/A as a row number
    4. Addition of incremental TP numbering.

Coming Soon:

In the next release we will have further improvements to the electrical experience on the app side, including greater validation, the addition of Free type BS(EN) fields and the ability to search the drop down of existing BS(EN) entries.

Validation changes include Maximum Zs rules which allow for quicker entry of circuits and minimise errors for engineers.

Other changes include the quick entry of circuits allowing engineers to save circuits with only the Circuit designation filled out which provides another method of input for the engineers, only when the whole certificate is being saved will the usual validation be applied.

Feedback:

We pride ourselves with our development being responsive to customer reported issues and suggestions with no suggestions or issue too small for us to investigate for a future release.
